2nd Annual Polynesian Festival

The Second Annual Polynesian Festival was so much fun! There were so many booths to visit while the Polynesian Dancers performed. I went with my roommates and other friends from our GEL class. Some of us took pictures at the Free Photo Booth set up. There was also free food, that I did not get, because the line was really long.

            The Dancing part of this festival was the most powerful because dancing is a way Polynesians express their culture and religious beliefs of their ancestry. Each chant and certain step you make to create a sound has a different meaning that can be depicted through the dancing. After watching this dancing and chanting part, I had to go to a class soon after the festival.

Hey guys! My name is Makaela Logan- I'm a freshmen at CSU San Marcos! Here's a little about myself, I had goals of becoming a student athlete for softball this freshmen year at CSUSM, but some things didn't turn out the way I planned. I've trained competitively for travel softball since I was in seventh grade and played "rec" ball since I was six years old. I am also a part time model because of the change into college life this semester. I have goals of becoming a Roxy Model in the near future. I love offroading, dirtbiking, wake boarding, and staying athletic. Here's my blog!
